Lighting is the most trickiest part in interior design. Needs to be carefully planned , what atmosphere do you want to create? How strong the light? etc. There are thousands of lamps out there but to pick the one just right for the right place and atmosphere is not an easy task. Here comes a few of my picks and some of them will be sold at my store.
I simply love this truly simple but yet elegant crystal bulb designed by Britains hottest name in interior design Lee Broom.
I’ve never been a big fan of crystal but the simple contrast with the cord just makes it beautiful!
Another hanging lamp in the same line of simplicity is by Michael Anastassiades. This designer is an outstanding light designer, all about perfection, simplicity and beauty. He travelled around the world to achieve the best manufacturers for his works, in metal, hand blowed glass etc.
“Tip of the tounge” the light ficture really speaks for itself!
The Material Pendants from Newworks, are a fun and simple play of different materials. A great lamp to have a row of them hanging in your kitchen for example! From noble materials as marble to a fun material cork, more and more used in interior design. On display in my shop.
Speaking about cork……………………
Another lamp I’ve admired for a long time is the DT lamp by Phil Luithlen from the Italian company Depadova. You don’t need any wiring in the ceiling as the electrical outlet is done for the wall just hang it in the ceiling and it’s the counterweight on the floor that keeps it in place.
As I love a touch of humour in a home I just can’t resist the Jeeves and Wooster lamps by Jake Phipps. And yes they are an inspiration from P.G. Wodehouse famous stories the Gentleman Wooster and the valet Jeeves. Also available at my shop!
Another fun lamp is the “Scheisse” lamp (which in German means oh shit!!). A huge bulb that broke oh sh……………
I’m not that much of a internet reader to be honest but your blogs really nice, keep it up! I’ll go ahead and bookmark your website to come back later. Cheers
Seriously, after I review a film, I actually don’t
review on what I EXPECT itt NEED it to be, or to be – I review based on what it want to
be, and whatt it IS. For that, I ensure you’ll find my review helpful.
In interior design, lighting is the trickiest part as if you cannot express what type of lighting you want, you can not get the same outcome as per your vision. So what do you think should someone go for professional if they cannot express what they are looking for?
And there were light!
