A garden bench? A trellis for plants and flowers? Or both? Well it’s all up to you but I think the idea is great you just stick this bench into the ground and nature will do the rest. Called the Gardener’s sofa by the Swedish designer Eva Schildt. Her little tabletop with a birdbath also just sticks into the ground whereever you would like it to be in your garden. They are all made by a Swedish company called www.designhousestockholm.com. The showroom IDchicago will have a part of their collection showing in June. I will come back and talk further about that.
A great outdoor designer is the Spaniard Gandia-Blasco. Don’t you just love this big outdoor lantern 40x40cm, 15.7″x15.7″. The fact that it is big and with the choice of this colored glass just makes it glow in a summer night. Made out of aluminium makes it easy to move around.
Sculptural piece made by the German designer Konstantin Grcic. I love furniture that can be of multipal use. Here you have a piece that you can sit on (actually several can because it’s big 47.25″ , 120 cm dia), could be used as a table, or as a pure sculptural artpiece in your garden. Made out of fiberglass and resin so again not that heavy to move around.
These Sticks from a Belgium designfirm called Extremis are just faboulus. Roomdividers yet there are transparency you are not completely shut off. I just love them. And a very easy way to get your little privacy room outdoors.
