Maison & Objet is the yearly Interior Design fair in Paris here are some picks from the years’ fair in January.
The world famous porcelain maker firm Lladro from Spain, Valencia updated themselves via this new collection called Metropolis. They have actually created a new department called Lladro atelier with the Spanish designer Jaime Hayon as supervisor and you can certainly see his influence in these pieces.
It’s a collection of vases, lamps, mirrors and boxes. The exterior is unglazed which I love and they are carved as if it was miniature embroidery.
A table lamp.
This collection of a new way to take a lamp are produced by a French company Goodbye Edison. As the sound of their name they are saying farewell to the old way of lighting a lamp and exploring with LEDs.
“Framed” the collection is designed by a French designer Fx Ballery. This one gives an indirect lighting on the wall.
“Up” . So are you taking any fancy to the next step in lighting?
This modular rug was designed by a very impressive French designer Ora-ito go on his site and read his CV for his only 35 years he has already worked with the best in the interior design world. This rug is an “ecological and virtual design process” after having seen all the leftover cuts from rugs he started to put them together and probably went Eureka I got a rug! As nice on the floor as on a wall actually.
If you are familiar with the French Bouroullec Brothers work you could almost guess they are the designers of this beautiful rug called “losanges”. Designed for the Spanish rug company nanimarquina. This rhombus shaped rug has 13 colors of hand died wool allowing it for great control of the shades and tones. A reinterpretation of the traditional Persian rug Kilim technique.
As I have been looking for new pans for a while these certainly cought my eye. Very zen like aren’t they? Designed yes by a Japanese Naoto Fukasawa. I love the light wood and the metal together.
How cool isn’t this Rocking Horse for adults suitably called Hi Ho. Designed by the Australian Jarrod Lim and it comes in Australian! sheepskin that is removable for dry cleaning!
I could definitely have it my living room how fun!
