Well I suppose the official day of summer according the calendar is something around the 20th of June. But for me it is really this week the weather is hot and the kids are out from school in 2 days. Summer for me when it comes to interior design is really bringing nature closer to you. Me and the kids just love to pick up sea shells, driftwood etc. But once you have all these collected in bags what do you do with them? Here comes some small projects you could use them in and fun to do with the kids too.
Like this Blue mussel crown, brings the ocean all the way till your door.

This is a cute way of doing your own art piece of things found on the beach.

I love mobiles. One day I was looking at all the odd card games we had in a pile and came up with this idea together with some driftwood. For my 7 year old daughter’s room I used the cards of kings and queens and on the other side I glued pictures of the family.

I saw this bird on the terrace to a very cosy pizza place in Sweden last summer and I thought it could be a fun project with the kids. I haven’t done it yet, so it might be a project for this summer.
I love to glue things into concrete. However, if the concrete is already done you can do what I just did this weekend just put the stones temporarily on top.
We redid our stairs at our summer house in Sweden 2 years ago and yes I glued some shells into the concrete.

Here I am again with my concrete designs here in our house in France, this time with stones in the entrance.

Doesn’t need much to make a summary window display.
Summer, kids, summer, kids
