I have a Canadian friend who is as passionate about design as I am and she has introduced me to the Canadian market of design. She introduced me to a very good Canadian interior magazine houseandhomeweekend if you can get a chance to buy it you should! End of January the yearly contemporary design fair in Toronto showed the trends for 2011.
There is something that happens with a room when you add the Union Jack, you can get it in pillows, upholstery fabric and here it is in a beautiful carpet. elte
The Caroll Street of Woodworkers had made this amazing art piece.
Aren’t these gorgeous lamps in turned wood. You must see more of these talented Canadians, some really cool pieces The Carroll Street Woodworkers
I would love to sit and swing in this beautiful “birdcage” made out of corian from earthinc. Landscape designers check them out for some great landscape inspirations.
As I am Swedish I have to show the IKEA booth! A kitchen all in black how cool isn’t that. I suppose it’s a way of saying IKEA can turn into whatever you want.
If you don’t want to spray your kitchen all black you could go for this very interesting and fun installation of the good old rice paper lamps.
This chair becomes even more beautiful when you know it is made from reclaimed lumber from discarded pallets! by coolersolutionsinc
The Interior Designer sarahrichardsondesign whom we know from her show on HGTV did some fun rooms each with a specific color as highlight
I really like the flea market finds of unmatched chairs painted in an intense red.
Yellow is definitely a color to count on in the near future.
yes she is a great graphic artist! Why don’t you just send her an email and ask her where you could get those. Yes I’ve seen the other cities they are faboulus.
