For some reason we all love those top 10 lists, best dressed, best looking, worst looking, the architect of the year etc. I stumbled over a list of the best Interior Designers and picked these guys whom I find have a wow factor and very different styles and way of working between them. If you would like to add someone to the list just let me know!
Karim Rashid a Guru in the design world. Born in Egypt raised in Canada and England. I don’t think there is any area he hasn’t touched, furniture design, accessories design, hotels, architecture etc. His style is definitely defined by his intense colors and curvy designs. He always make me think of a candy store!
This Bar/restaurant in Belgrad, Serbia was finished in January 2008. Everything you see in the project is designed by Rashid. A place like this sprouting with colors, forms, and very cool
lighting with help of LEDs must be great in a city all grey and square from the years of
communism. The windows outside is his own famous logo!
In well designed places I always check out the restrooms even if I don’t need to go….. It’s always worth while.
Another interesting project of his is the remodeling of a famous mall in Moscow called Bosco Pi
I thought it was interesting including the floor plan so you really get a good overview of the project made out of funky shapes.
Here is what a private home would look like a la Rashid
He even designed this low budget house, 1 bedroom. You could get it for 4000 Euro!
