Set to Play or Pig Out!

By Malin Miller on January 20, 2012

I don’t think that anyone has the months of January and February very highly on its list over favourite months. They are like 2 months in waiting (we could almost skip them) for the wonderful time to come i.e. spring! But as we can’t get rid of them we might as well make something fun out of it! It’s perfect months for some games and I think the most classic and popular games between adults is The Pool table! The only thing is how do you esthetically marry this with your interior they normally are quite awful and clumsy looking!

Thanks to the Belgian company Saluc you can now have your pool table right in the middle of your dining room. So no excuse not to get one anymore!

So where is it? you might wonder, well just uncover the top and there it is! What a brilliant idea! Actually this company is already world known for standing for 80% of the production of billiard balls since the 1950’s. The structure is made out of aluminium you can choose your choice of wood for the top.

Yes this design can’t be done by anyone else but Italians! MBM billardi A little bit barock but still pretty cool though! They have been around in the billiard business since the 1960’s. This latest model is called Parigi.

This is one of my favourites though! I love the white oak it’s made off, it gives it a very fresh look. It’s part of a design project from the designers at M. Elle Design click on it and you can actually see how it was done!

Designed for this house it matches perfectly the interior.

If you’re not a pool player but still have a playful mind perhaps you would be more drawn to this table……

It’s a dinner table  “Marbelous” made by the Dutch designers Ontwerpduo and as most Dutch designers they sure have a glimpse in their eyes!

the wooden carvings guides each marble down to its base. A marble track to play with!

The gorgeous wood is  maple.
