The past 10 years I have lived in 3 different countries and on 2 different continents. I am now back where I’ve started 20 years ago Geneva, Switzerland after a few years in the US and Spain. It’s great to be back and it just feels like jumping back into the water!
Travelling and moving around is a great thing to do but settling down feels pretty good too (I can’t believe I am saying this!!)
To get the world vibe you don’t really need to travel, just bring the world to your home! You can do it in quite a few different ways;
As a parent it’s great when the estethic meets pedagogy! You get 2 things for 1. And this one is very fun and graphic to discover the world together with the little ones.
The simplest way to bring the world to your home is to play around with different maps and frame them. Here is a black and white theme works perfect as a back splash for the bed.
It doesn’t always need to show the world map, just a chosen topical area is very graphic.
Now, how cute isn’t this, you could just frame your favourite place on earth!

Make your fireplace travel!
Today you can get anything on wallpaper so why not make a whole wall your world space!
An old vintage map in an antique golden frame, I like the golden/brass color repeat going on in this room.
You do not need to make it complicated just dig out all the maps you have laying around and put them all up together on the wall.
What a great idea to fill your door with the world!
If you are the creative type why not make your own!
And what would be better to use than stamps that have travelled the world!
Yes I am a big fan of wall stickers, the world in black makes it very clean and graphic.
