Well that is a very big and metaphysical question that I’m not gonna try to answer here, my contribution will be what can we do with all those globes that we all had as a child in our room (and which has been constituted by – google where Afghanistan is!).

This globe sculpture was part of an exhibition called 100worldsproject. Ron Miriello is the American artist behind these very fun and interesting views of the world. As a director of a design firm for branding he wanted to escape the slavory of creation that his work sometimes brings, as he says himself “When you follow creativity where it wants to go rather than where it needs to go to meet clients’ expectations, that’s a luxury,” he said.
And for sure the creativity is without any boundaries here, I love the interpretation, after all we have all left some footprints on the earth!
THIS is the world! We all see these globes at flea markets etc. paint your message on it and it makes a fun object in your home decor.
If you have a collection of them just pile them up, the different sizes makes a great installation!
Why not put your favorite part of the world on your coffee table it can always be used as a great conversation peace for all the travels you’ve done!
A book case not only to be used for your American authors! This piece is made by one of the most influential designers right now Ron Arad whose signature is steel and biomorphic shapes.
This particular piece was made for an exhibition called “Oh, the farmer and the cowman should be friends” shown at Timothy Taylor Gallery in London 2009.
So I say Good Buy to the US and Bonjour, Grutziwol and Ciao to Switzerland!
