This week Nordic Rooms is getting Glamorous a la Hollywood as the Oscars are on their way this upcoming Sunday.
And who wouldn’t be more suitable to start out with than the most sexy and glamorous of them all Lenny Kravitz. He is a real artist in the sense that he is breaking his own borders experimenting with acting (did you see him in the Oscar receiving movie “Precious” last year) and Interior Design!
Together with the Brooklyn based wallpaper company Flavor paper he did the Tropicalismo collection inspired by graphic influences of the late 1960’s Brasilian Tropicalia movement . Fusing bold patterns, pop colors and Utopian rhythms in art, music and design. Having these on your walls would feel like wearing one of his shirts right!
In 2005 he established his own design company kravitzdesign where he has a good group of interior designers, architects and creative professionals to transform his eclectic global lifestyle.
These are from his residence in Paris. The black curtains sure bring some drama to this otherwise very white room!
Yes silver, black and white is the concept.
Nothing left behind there are graphics from the ceiling to the floor. A Miami residence.
Lenny Kravitz really like white as a color-scheme. A complete white interior gives you the feeling of space, airiness, purity, clarity cleanliness and spirituality.
You can see that he is a travelled person and he likes to put that into his designs, the African statues, the Moorish inspired opening, the African drum table and the Andalusian inspired chair. All that gives the white a deeper interest.
His dining room in his condo in the Village NY. He has a fancy for horns, seen in other interiors of his. He has a great understanding for interesting art that lifts up his monochromatic interiors.
Let it Rock’n Roll
