Ms Keaton received the Oscar for best actress in Annie Hall in 1977, as we know she wears a lot of hats and acting is not the only one she is also a house flipper!
She has a passion for old California homes especially Spanish colonial ones.
This was built by the architect Ralph Flewelling in the 1920’s.
Together with the NY designer Stephen Shadley they did a great job on this one. As I love quotes and writings on the wall I am particularly drawn to the library “The eyes sees what the mind knows”.
From the library you enter the dining room.
Truthful to the style of the house she uses Monterey furniture a California line of furniture who started in the 1920’s inspired by the Spanish colonial style.
I love the impact of the colored pottery in the bedroom.
More of the pottery on display in the eating area of the kitchen.
The office that gives a view on the beautiful courtyard.
The little Mexicans around the fountain are so cute.
Yet another Spanish colonial revival a 1927 Bel Air house.
The kitchen with a quote from Robert Frost “Home is a place where when you knock on the door they have to let you in”. Some vintage California tile makes the kitchen bar. Perfectly matched with the Mexican colors of the pottery.
A working place to get some inspiration.
She sure has a great taste for interesting houses. This one is a Frank Lloyd Write house. The Alfred Newman Estate.
Let see what the Hollywood stars have in store for us tomorrow………
